Hey everyone!
I’m a developer who spends way too much time on X. My bookmarks were a total mess—threads I wanted to read later were getting lost in the noise of the native "Bookmarks" tab. It felt like a graveyard where good ideas went to die.
I decided to solve my own problem and built X Smart Bookmarks - Extify.
The Goal: Stop scrolling through a disorganized list. Start finding what you need in seconds.
What it does:
Categorize with Ease: Move your bookmarks into custom folders/categories.
Advanced Search: Actually find that thread you saved 3 months ago.
Clean & Minimalist: It lives inside your browser and doesn't clutter your X experience.
Under the Hood (The Tech Stack): I wanted this to be fast and secure from day one.
I’m at Day 1 and I have 0 users. I’m looking for honest feedback from this community. Is the UI intuitive? Is there a specific feature you’d pay for? (Notion export? AI auto-tagging?)
I’d love for you to check it out and let me know what you think: 🔗 Get it on Chrome Web Store
Also, I’m building this in public on X: @Extify_co. Let's connect!
Congrats on the launch, looks solid. How are you currently thinking about acquiring early users and gathering feedback?
That's a solid approach, honestly, it's the right decision at this stage. Focusing on understanding before pursuing growth helps avoid a lot of wasted effort in the long run.
One effective strategy I’ve seen is to use community discussions, particularly on Reddit, to validate how people articulate the problem in their own words. This should be done without treating it as a growth channel for now; it's more about gathering meaningful insights rather than increasing traffic.
When you're ready to incorporate this, I’d be happy to help you design a small, low-noise Reddit test that complements what you’re already learning from your early users. There's no rush, just something to keep in mind.
That makes sense; timing is everything in the early stages. When you're ready, I'm happy to help you conduct a focused Reddit test that aligns with that listening-first approach. Just reach out whenever it feels appropriate. 👍
