I built a trading journal for prop traders — but it turned into something bigger

I started building TraderCore as a simple trading journal.

At first, the goal was straightforward: track trades, analyze performance, and improve consistency.

But as I kept trading with prop firms, I realized something:

The real problem isn’t tracking trades.

It’s surviving the rules.

Things like:

- Consistency limits

- Drawdowns

- Minimum trading days

- Payout eligibility

Most tools completely ignore this.

So TraderCore evolved into something else.

Instead of just a journal, it became an operating system for prop traders.

Now it helps traders:

- Track performance

- Understand their edge

- Monitor rules in real time

- Optimize for payouts

Still early, but already seeing how different this approach is compared to traditional journals.

Curious — if you trade with prop firms, what’s your biggest challenge right now?
