I built a trading journal that connects to your personal finances - here's why

Most trading apps solve half the problem. They track your trades well but leave you with no idea how your trading activity is actually affecting your financial life. I got frustrated with the typical setup most traders end up with a spreadsheet for logging trades, a separate app for the portfolio, and another for budgeting. Three tools, none of them talking to each other, and hours of manual maintenance every month. Funnily enough, the last straw was when I saw a spreadsheet making an absurd amount of money annually, when I knew I could provide just as much and more through a nice app.

So I built TrackEdge (trackedge.org): a trading journal, portfolio tracker, and budget planner in one app. The part I’m most proud of: close a trade and your P&L automatically updates your monthly budget. No manual entry, no copy-pasting, just connected. What it does:

∙ Trade journal with automatic P&L, win rate, profit factor, and strategy tags

∙ Portfolio tracker with live prices benchmarked against SPY ∙ Budget planner that auto-syncs your trading income

∙ Capital gains tax report for year end

∙ Price alerts and performance reports

Free to start, paid plans from $12.50/month. Would love feedback from anyone who tries it.
