I built a website! Is the messaging clear?

Hey everyone!

I built a https://coachalign.com/

It is feature complete as far as our MVP goes. I am about to start promoting it. Before I start promoting it, I would love your critical and honest feedback. The more honest it is, the more it will help me.

Before seeing my description of my website below, can you please look through my website and answer the following:

  • Do you understand what are the benefits and features of my product by looking at the homepage?
  • Are the actions you can take on my website clear?

What my website does
CoachAlign is a crowd-sourced review website specific to personal coaches.

Users can search for a coach by name or browse coaches by category to find a coach that they are interested in. A user can read reviews about a coach and add their own reviews about coaches they have worked with.

I built CoachAlign because I was frustrated with the process of finding a personal life coach. I wanted to create a centralized place where you could browse coaches and see real client reviews about them.

Kind of like Yelp, but for Coaches.

What do you think?!

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Let's see if I can ship in. From my perspective. The more coaches/categories you have, the more serious it looks. If you have just one category. You lost me. I enjoyed browsing through a few of the categories. I would not go overboard with 1000 of them. But what you have is nice and good.

https://coachalign.com/like-stars.fw.png <- This looks like you are really trying too hard to say EVERYTTTHIINNGGG ISSS GREAAAAAAAT. It would use a different kind of illustration.

Maybe something with speech bubbles? Something more subdued. You draw the attention away form the content which is the main thing.

Also. The empty state looks a bit busy. Since you are an MVP. Lots of people will be hitting the empty state of the search. I would clean it up in these ways:

    • Remove filters on the left. No point in having them. Theres nothing to show.
    • Remove the dropdown below the input.
    • Center the text.
    • Make the H1 28px size. List items and p tags 16px in size. Smaller text is harder to read.
    • Center the CTA and add a button below the text. Not on the right.

There you have it a nice empty page! Best of luck to you! Im rooting for ya!

I like it. Why have all the different coaching categories and not just start with one?
