I built an AI assistant for small businesses (with the help of AI). Feedback welcome!

Hey IndieHackers 👋

I recently launched Klara AI, a multilingual assistant for service-based businesses like salons, clinics, and others that need to handle customer questions, bookings, and communication 24/7 — without needing 5 different tools.

I built it using Replit Ghostwriter + GPT, without writing a single line of code myself. I simply guided the AI step by step, built the flow, tested it, and... ended up building something I now genuinely love.

👉 You can test her live here: https://herbiko.short.gy/KlaraBerlin

She:

Answers customer questions

Directs them to the right service

Transcribes conversations

Works in multiple languages

Never sleeps 😅

I’d love to get your honest feedback:

What would you improve?

Would you pay for it if you ran a service business?

Is the story interesting enough to go public with?

And yes... I listed Replit AI as my co-founder, because let’s face it — she did code most of it. 😄

Thanks for reading!

I tried your program - is she named Hilton Berlin? She was very informative, but I'm wondering if it would be possible for a more conversational exchange? I'd be interested to see how (or if ) my API might help your app to function more personably. I'm working on a relational layer for AI - let me know if you're interested, as I'm looking for participants to test it out on.....

    This is super cool, Nenad

love how you leaned into AI as a co-founder.

Klara seems like a real unlock for small teams who can’t afford to miss leads.

I help early-stage founders make sense of where their revenue’s actually coming from, especially when ops get automated like this.

If you ever want a free teardown (think: pricing clarity, breakeven insights, or channel ROI), happy to send a quick Loom.

No pitch, just fellow builder energy.

      Hey Bob,

Thank you so much for the kind words and for taking the time to check out Klara – that means a lot! 🙏

You’re absolutely right – most people don’t even realize what Klara can do until they see it in action.

If you have a minute, feel free to click the ⚙️ icon next to the language selector in the bottom-right corner and enter the admin code: 0304

That will give you access to a simple admin panel where you can test how easy it is to customize Klara – everything from business details to how she handles different types of customers.

And the key feature? The conversation transcript.

Klara collects names, phone numbers, and questions, and business owners get it all neatly recorded. A living, editable knowledge base is built around the AI with just a few clicks – even for pricing or opening hour changes.

Big plans ahead, but even now, Klara already competes with expensive tools that often require Zapier, n8n or painful onboarding. And we’re just getting started!

I'd love that teardown, actually – sounds super helpful. I'll DM you. Appreciate the builder energy

Yo — Klara’s cooking 🔥 Appreciate you giving me access, that really helped me see what you’re building.

I’m putting together a short breakdown that’ll highlight how you could position Klara for monetization — super simple, nothing too heavy.

Give me a day or so to polish it. In the meantime, if you’ve got any ballpark numbers (monthly cost, users you’re aiming for, etc.), feel free to drop them, I’ll build them in.

Also saw you mentioned a DM — just letting you know I’m all eyes on Indie Hackers. Feel free to shoot it over when ready.

Thanks so much — I really appreciate the time you're taking.

To be honest, I’ll leave the monetization ideas to you. I actually have no clue how to turn Klara into a business — my main job is something completely different. But I do know exactly what I want Klara to do, and I’m going to keep building her.If you have a vision or plan for how to bring her to market, I’m totally open to a partnership and sharing the profits. Also, feel free to estimate her value if you’re up for it — would be really helpful. Thanks again, Bob. Excited to hear your thoughts when you’re ready.

Appreciate the trust — seriously. A lot of builders jump into partnerships too fast, but it’s clear you care about Klara’s future. That mindset is rare, and honestly… it’s going to protect her from the wrong kind of attention later.

That said, I’d personally keep partnerships off the table for now, unless you’re dealing with investors or someone who’s bringing real, measurable value. Too many early-stage products get steered off-course just because someone showed up with “monetization advice” and a pitch deck.

If you’re down, I’ll start outlining a vision doc:

→ How Klara could be positioned

→ What revenue paths suit her

→ Where her long-term value really lies (beyond just profit)

No fluff — just actionable steps and ideas you can build on at your pace.

Also, if it’s cool with you, drop me your Gmail (or I can share mine) — way easier to collaborate, share docs, and stay in sync than through IndieHackers. From there we can hop to Insta or wherever you’re most active.

Appreciate the builder energy, as always. Excited to show you what I’ve got in mind.

That’s incredibly inspiring! Klara AI sounds like a real game-changer for service-based businesses that often struggle with managing customer communication across platforms.

It’s also amazing that you built it without writing a single line of code — a perfect example of how accessible AI tools have become for non-technical founders. Your experience really shows how far no-code and AI-assisted development have come.

Congrats on the launch! Looking forward to seeing how Klara AI evolves.

      Hi Debra,

Thank you so much for taking the time to check out Klara! 💛

Most people don’t immediately realize what Klara is truly capable of, so I really appreciate your feedback.

If you have a minute, I’d love for you to click the settings icon (⚙️) next to the language menu, enter the admin code 0304, and take a quick look inside. That’s where the magic happens.

👉 Klara stores full transcripts of conversations.

Clients can ask anything, leave their name, number, or booking requests — and business owners can later see the full conversation in text format. Simple, but incredibly powerful.

      Also:

The knowledge base is easily editable (great for quick updates like pricing or working hours),

No need for Zapier, n8n, or coding,

Fully customizable for any business type (salons, hotels, services...),

And it works in multiple languages.

I have big plans for Klara — including voice call support, photo-based problem detection, and AI-powered suggestions — but even now, it already competes with complex and expensive tools.

Thanks again for the kind words — means a lot! 😊

Brilliant execution! 👏 Love how you’ve leveraged AI end-to-end without code—this is exactly the kind of resource small service businesses desperately need but rarely have time to explore.

    ✅ Clear value proposition
    ✅ Real-world use case
    ✅ Impressive multilingual functionality

If you're planning a full launch, I’d suggest positioning Klara as a "24/7 AI receptionist"—that framing resonates strongly with service-based SMBs. Curious: are you targeting solo operators or multi-location businesses too?

Congrats again on building something meaningful—excited to see where you take it!

      Hi Robert,

Thank you so much for taking the time to explore Klara and for the thoughtful feedback — it really means a lot!

You're absolutely right — the “24/7 AI receptionist” framing resonates well, but in reality, Klara is more of a flexible assistant than just a receptionist. She can be adapted for any service-based business — salons, clinics, hotels, you name it.

If you’re curious to see her full potential, feel free to click the settings icon next to the language selector and enter the admin with the access code 0304. That will give you a better picture of how customizable and capable she is — from transcribed conversations to full multilingual handling and beyond.

Thanks again, and I really appreciate your time and encouragement.
