I built an AI audit tool and discovered most business owners already know their site has problems

Been building BurnRate solo for the past few months.
I started with the assumption that business owners wanted an AI website audit tool. What I discovered is that most already know something feels off about their site – they just don't know what's actually costing them customers.
That insight completely changed how I built the product.
BurnRate analyzes any website URL and generates a 10-point report showing what's hurting conversions, why it matters, and how to fix it. It combines AI analysis with live Google PageSpeed data.
Launching on Product Hunt this Tuesday. I'd love any feedback before launch:

I'd be careful with one thing.

The interesting question may not be whether business owners already know something is wrong.

It may be what conclusion deserves confidence from that observation.

Those sound similar, but they can lead to very different decisions about the buyer, the positioning, and what future feedback actually means.

I wouldn't make that call casually from the current signals.

Fair point. I'm not drawing firm conclusions from it yet. More of an early signal that's making me rethink whether the real sell is "find problems" vs "finally have language for the problem you already feel." Still figuring out which framing actually converts.

What makes this tricky is that both of those framings can look validated by the same early conversations.

That's why I'd be hesitant to rush the conclusion.

The hard part isn't choosing the better message.

It's figuring out which interpretation actually deserves confidence before more decisions start getting built around it.

I wouldn't try to unpack that properly in a thread.

If you're curious, drop your email and I'll send over the tighter version.

this is a strong idea, especially the shift toward helping founders understand why their site isn’t converting rather than just giving raw performance metrics.
One thing I’m curious about is do you think the 10 point report will be more valuable if it prioritizes issues by estimated business impact like “this is likely costing you X% conversions, rather than just listing problems equally?
Also curious how you’re handling sites where PageSpeed is fine but conversion is still poor

That prioritization idea is actually on my radar – right now the 10 criteria are weighted but not surfaced as "this one is costing you the most." Making that explicit could be a solid next iteration. On the PageSpeed-fine-but-still-not-converting question: that's exactly the gap BurnRate.app is meant to fill. Speed data tells you the "what," the audit digs into the "why"– trust signals, CTA clarity, emotional tone, hierarchy. Those don't show up in Lighthouse at all.

        that makes sense,
what's interesting is that many founders already suspect something is wrong with their site, but they often don't know where to start, If BurnRate can identify both the issue and the order in which it should be fixed, that could be a big differentiator
