I Built an AI Extension That Fills Out Forms — Here’s Why (And How You Can Try It)

Like many of you here, I got tired of small, annoying problems that add up.
For me, that problem was filling out forms. Job applications, client intake, onboarding, shipping requests… same fields, same info, every time.

As a software engineer working on AI products, I started thinking: Why can’t we just type what we want and let AI handle the rest?

That’s how FillApp started.

What is FillApp?

FillApp is a browser extension and web app that lets you fill any form using plain text and snippets, powered by AI.

You just write something like:

"Please process this request using @clientInfo, @productDetails, and @shippingTerms. Use @defaultContact for follow-up."

And it fills a full shipping or logistics form with names, addresses, contact info, crate counts, and more.

This isn’t just autofill. It tracks what text matched which field, suggests past submissions, and highlights anything left unfilled.

The extension is fully functional and works smoothly on platforms like Google Forms and Typeform.

Why I’m Writing This Now

The extension is currently pending Chrome Web Store approval, and I’m preparing for a closed beta.
