I built an AI listing tool for Etsy sellers. Week 1 numbers: 15 users, 0 paying. Roast my plan.

Hey IH! Solo dev here. For the past few months I've been building ListBoost (listboost.app) — a tool for Etsy sellers that does three things: suggests keywords based on your actual product (not generic trend lists), drafts the full title/description/tags with AI, and scores each section of the listing 0–100 so you know what to fix before publishing.

Real numbers after week 1 of marketing, no sugarcoating:

- 15 total users in 28 days — and most of that is my own testing

- 0 paying customers

- 3 people tapped the upgrade button, 2 started checkout, 0 completed

- Facebook group posts (2 live, ~170K combined members): 0 likes, 0 comments

- Reddit comment in r/Etsy's weekly promo thread: 1 view

What I'm doing about it: reposted in this week's r/Etsy thread, X thread is live, Product Hunt launch scheduled for July 14, and next week I'm emailing every signed-up user personally to ask what's missing.

Pricing model: your first 15 full uses are free (one-time trial, nothing locked), then $9.99/mo for 150 uses, $24.99/mo for 500, $49.99/mo unlimited.

Two questions for people who've sold tools to SMB/marketplace sellers:

1. Trial model — is a one-time 15-use trial the right call for this audience, or does a recurring free tier (e.g. X uses/month) convert better for sellers who list in bursts?

2. Distribution — social posts clearly aren't moving the needle. For niche seller tools like this, what actually worked for you: SEO content, marketplace communities, YouTube tutorials, affiliate/influencer deals with seller-coaches, or something else?

Brutal feedback welcome, including "kill it." Thanks!
