I built an AI music video generator for people who will never hire a full MV crew

Most indie musicians finish a song… and then the visual part dies on the todo list.

Not because the track isn’t good—because a “real” music video is a project: budget, scheduling, editing, motion, revisions. For creators shipping every few weeks, that model doesn’t scale.

So we built Musiv (musiv.ai): upload an MP3, add a short prompt / pick a style, and the system analyzes rhythm, energy, and mood, generates a storyboard, creates synced video segments, and merges them into something you can actually post.

What’s under the hood (high level): dedicated audio analysis → LLM storyboarding → modern video generation → assembly so cuts feel locked to the music, not random B-roll.

Who it’s for right now

  • Indie artists who need a promo MV / teaser fast

  • Short-form creators who want visuals for TikTok, Shorts, Reels

  • Anyone who has the audio and wants watchable output without learning a pro NLE first

Where we’re honest

  • Audio is MP3-first today; more formats are on the roadmap.

  • Generation time depends on length and load—think minutes, not seconds, for a full pass.

  • This is a tool to ship and iterate, not a replacement for a bespoke $50k production—and that’s the point.

We’re early, shipping fast, and learning from real workflows. If you try it, tell us what would make Musiv a default step after you bounce a master: control (characters, continuity), speed, price, export specs—or something we’re not seeing.

Really interesting, especially tackling that “audio is done but visuals never ship” gap.

Feels like one challenge here might be helping users understand the level of control they’ll have over the final output, since a lot of AI video tools can feel a bit unpredictable once you hit generate.

Have you seen users want more control over the result, or are they mostly happy with the first pass?
