I built an AI spiritual platform across 5 traditions — here’s what I learned

I’ve been building YeshiAI, an AI platform for prayer, reflection, journaling, learning, and spiritual practice across Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, and Universal Spirituality.

The hardest part hasn’t been the AI.

It’s been figuring out where AI should stop.

While talking with people from different religious and spiritual communities, I kept hearing the same concern in different forms: AI can be useful for reflection, study, and journaling, but it should not become a replacement for scripture, clergy, teachers, community, or personal discernment.

That feedback changed how I think about the product.

Instead of trying to build an “AI spiritual authority,” I’m trying to build something closer to a structured companion for practice — something that helps people return to prayer, reflect more deeply, journal consistently, study their tradition, and build better spiritual habits.

YeshiAI currently supports five paths and adapts the experience based on the tradition or denomination a user chooses.

I’m still early, and I’m especially interested in one question:

Where do you think AI is genuinely useful in religion or spirituality — and where should the boundary be?

The “where AI should stop” question seems more consequential here than the AI capabilities themselves. The boundary you draw likely shapes how different communities perceive the product.

Hey, congrats on shipping YeshiAI — the spiritual companion niche is real and underserved.

I'm the founder of Zarek ([zarek.tech](https://zarek.tech/)), an AI launch co-pilot built for indie founders. I used it on YeshiAI's campaign as a demo and wanted to share what the output actually looks like.

Here's the roadmap Zarek built for a product like YeshiAI, with real copy examples at each step:

    ---

Step 1 — Nail your positioning (Day 1)
Zarek drafts your one-liner and landing page CTA.
Example output: "YeshiAI is your AI prayer partner — guided reflection, Scripture study, and daily devotionals, all in one place."

    Step 2 — Directory listings (Days 7–14)
Zarek writes the copy and walks you through submission for 15+ directories: Product Hunt, Futurepedia, AlternativeTo, BetaList, SaaSHub, TopAI.tools, and more.
Example PH tagline: "Prayer, journaling & Bible study — supercharged by AI."

    Step 3 — Build-in-public content
Zarek drafts your X thread, LinkedIn post, and founder story so you're not starting from a blank page.
Example X thread opener: "I've been praying for 20 years. I still struggled to stay consistent. So I built YeshiAI — an AI that meets you where you are. Here's how it works 🧵"

    Step 4 — Community outreach
Zarek identifies the right subreddits (r/Christianity, r/BibleStudy, r/spirituality) and writes value-first posts tailored to each community's tone — no spam, no self-promo drops.

    Step 5 — Launch day
Coordinated fire: PH + Show HN + X thread + launch email + community posts, all drafted and scheduled. You just post.

    Step 6 — Post-launch SEO
Blog posts, "YeshiAI vs [competitor]" comparisons, dev.to cross-posts — Zarek drafts all of it for long-tail traffic.

    ---

60 scheduled actions, all copy drafted, nothing delegated back to you.
