I built an AI tool that helps photographers deliver event photos automatically

Hi everyone,

I’m Saurabh, a developer from India. Over the past few months I’ve been building a tool called PixMatches to solve a problem I kept noticing in the event photography industry.

After weddings or large events, photographers usually have thousands of photos to deliver. Guests often ask for their specific photos, which forces photographers to manually search and send images one by one. This process takes hours and becomes frustrating for both photographers and guests.

Another issue is storage. Most photographers already store their photos on Google Drive, but many gallery platforms require them to upload the same photos again, which means paying for storage twice.

So I built PixMatches.

Instead of re-uploading photos, PixMatches connects directly to a photographer’s Google Drive event folder and uses AI face matching to automatically find photos for each guest.

Here’s the workflow:

• Photographer creates an event and connects a Google Drive folder
• PixMatches generates a guest link and QR code
• Guests scan the QR code and upload a selfie
• Once event photos are uploaded to the Drive folder, the AI scans faces and matches photos
• Each guest receives a personal gallery containing only their photos

There’s also a client portal where the main client can select their favorite photos for albums or editing.

The goal is simple: remove manual photo delivery and eliminate duplicate storage.

I just launched the product and would love feedback from the community.

What do you think about this workflow?
Is this something photographers would actually find useful?
