Hey IH community π
I want to share what I've been building the past few months: WeeklyWrap β an AI-powered weekly reporting tool for freelancers and agencies.
The problem I was solving for myself:
Every Friday I was spending 2-3 hours writing the same type of report for each client. Copy-paste data, format it nicely, write a summary, attach charts... repeat x5 clients. It was killing my productivity and honestly my soul a little bit.
I looked for existing tools but everything was either too complex, too expensive, or not designed for freelancers.
So I built WeeklyWrap.
What it does:
Generates AI-powered weekly reports from your work data
Sends reports directly to clients via email (Resend)
Shows performance charts, quality scores, AI insights
Custom branding per client
Dark/light mode, timezone & currency settings per user
The tech stack:
Next.js 15 + TypeScript
Supabase for auth + database
Resend for transactional emails
OpenAI for report generation
Stripe for payments
Vercel for deployment
Total infrastructure cost: ~$20/month to run.
Where I am now:
v2.0 just launched with a full UI rebuild, AI insights, and one-click client email delivery. Still early but getting positive feedback.
Revenue: Pre-revenue, focusing on user acquisition first.
Users: Early testers onboarding now.
Goal: 100 paying users by end of Q3 2025.
What I learned building this:
Ship ugly first. My v1 was terrible UI-wise but it validated the idea fast.
Talk to your users. Every feature in v2 came from actual freelancer feedback.
Automate the boring stuff. Not just for users β for yourself too. CI/CD, email triggers, Stripe webhooks.
Dark mode matters more than you think. Freelancers work at night. A lot.
What I need help with:
How are you guys approaching cold outreach to freelancers?
Any good communities where freelancers talk about client management?
Pricing feedback: $15/month for Pro β too much? Too little?
Happy to answer any questions about the build, the stack, or the journey. AMA! π
