I built an AI tool to remove watermarks, logos, and text from short videos

Hey Indie Hackers,

I’m working on Collart AI Video Watermark Remover, a small AI tool for cleaning up short videos directly in the browser.

The idea is simple: upload a video, run the remover model, and get a cleaner version back without opening a full video editor.

It’s built for cases like:

  • removing text overlays from your own exported videos

  • cleaning up old drafts or test renders

  • removing logos/placeholders from content you have permission to edit

  • fixing short social clips before repurposing them

Right now it supports MP4/MOV videos up to 50MB and 30 seconds. The current workflow is intentionally minimal: upload video → generate → review the result.

This started because a lot of video cleanup tools feel either too heavy, too manual, or hidden inside bigger editing suites. I wanted something closer to a focused utility: one problem, one page, fast result.

I’d love feedback on a few things:

  1. Is the page clear enough in the first 5 seconds?

  2. Would you trust this kind of tool for quick editing work?

  3. What matters more for you: speed, output quality, longer video support, or batch processing?

Would love any blunt feedback from builders here.

One thing I'd be careful about is that the use cases and the reason someone pays may not be the same thing.

A lot of people can imagine situations where this is useful.

That's different from encountering a situation where they actively go looking for a solution.

That distinction usually becomes much more important than the feature list.
