I built an AI website builder that turns a business description into a deployed site

I've been building GenMySite — an AI-powered website builder where you describe your business and get a fully deployable site in minutes.
The problem I kept seeing:
Small business owners either pay $2-5k for a basic website, or spend weeks fighting with Squarespace/Wix trying to make something that doesn't look like a template. I myself was very frustrated creating website because although I'm a software dev myself I longed for someone to make website creation easy for non-technical people. Most just want to get online and get back to running their business.
How it works:
You describe your business in plain English
AI generates a complete website
You edit by chatting ("make the header bolder," "add a contact form")
One click deploy to a live URL
The stack:
SvelteKit for the frontend
Supabase for auth and database
Google Gemini for generation
Netlify for deployments
Hardest parts so far:
Making AI-generated code actually editable without breaking (ended up converting HTML to Svelte components)
Programmatic Netlify deployments randomly getting stuck in "preparing" status
Balancing generation speed vs. quality — nobody wants to wait 60 seconds
Where I'm at:
Working product, still polishing. Looking for early users to break things and give honest feedback.

Before moving forward, it’s important to confirm whether you’ve actually validated that a meaningful number of people experience this problem and are willing to pay for a solution that outperforms what’s already available. Because when you look at the current landscape (Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, WordPress tools like Elementor or ZipWP, and no-code platforms like Lovable, Bolt, or Bubble), the general sentiment is that most users are satisfied. They value convenience, speed, and “good enough” results, which makes convincing them to switch more challenging.
From your positioning, the core value seems to be the promise of AI-generated websites that are genuinely unique and do not feel template-based. However, the genmysite homepage itself strongly contradicts that message. It looks template-like, which is counterproductive if the product claims to produce non-template results. And given that this is the only public example of what the generator can produce, it weakens the narrative instead of reinforcing it.
Assuming you can deliver on the promise of consistently generating unique, non-template sites, the next question is how you plan to maintain this advantage over the next 12–24 months. Established players in the market can move quickly, and if they see real adoption around the problem you’re targeting, they have the capability to replicate or neutralize that benefit. Without a sustainable differentiator, the uniqueness of your approach may not last.
I really like the idea but when I tried it my site that is selling video games for consoles I was getting lots of
"🤔 I'm not sure I understood your request. Could you please be more specific about what you'd like to change?"
or even
"❌ Connection lost. Please check your internet and try again."
for simple prompts like "replace background image"
