“Hey everyone — sharing something I’ve been building on the side.
I’m a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt / Production Engineer by day, and I’ve spent the last few weeks building professional Excel templates as a side hustle — starting with a full project management system.
It includes:
• A central task database (multi-project)
• Auto-updating Gantt chart
• Kanban board (with a real VBA-powered drag-and-drop sync)
• Eisenhower Priority Matrix
• Weekly/monthly calendar views
• Budget tracker with over-budget alerts
• A dashboard with automated charts
No subscriptions, no Power Query, no add-ins — just Excel, formulas, and macros. Built specifically for people who want functionality without the monthly fee.
It’s live on Gumroad now:
Happy to answer questions about how any of it works, or hear feedback if you check it out. This is my first product launch, so genuinely curious what resonates (or doesn’t) with this community
“No Power Query, no add-ins” is actually a meaningful constraint here.
For someone already managing work in Excel, the appeal may be less about getting another project management tool and more about getting substantially more capability without changing the environment their team already knows.
Exactly — that's the core insight. Most teams don't want to learn a new tool, they want more out of the one they already trust. Excel's already open on every machine, everyone already knows the basics, and there's no admin approval needed to start using it. That's the gap I built this for.
Appreciate you catching that — it's actually the main thing I lead with when I describe the product. Thanks for the thoughtful read!
I appreciate you taking the time to explain your thinking.
I'd be interested in continuing the conversation by email if you're open to it. What's the best email to reach you on?
