I built an API that turns your live website into OG images — rendered at the edge

Sharing something I've been working on. Linkshot (https://uselinkshot.com) generates OG images by screenshotting your actual live site at the edge.

Instead of manually designing OG images for every page, you:

  1. Register your domain
  2. Call the API with a page path
  3. Get back a 1200x630 screenshot styled however you want

The cool part is you can inject TailwindCSS classes into the screenshot render — so you can hide navbars, adjust fonts, add padding, or completely restyle the page specifically for the OG capture.

It runs on Cloudflare Workers with Browser Rendering, so screenshots are generated at the edge close to your users.

Built with TanStack Start, Drizzle ORM, NeonDB, and Better Auth. Deployed on Cloudflare.

Would love to hear thoughts — especially on the DX of the API and whether the Tailwind injection approach is something you'd actually use.
