I built an app that improved my blog engagement, now I need testers & feedback

Hey Indie Hackers!

I’ve been working on an app that automatically generates short AI summaries for blog posts and adds them at the top of each article. The idea is to help readers quickly understand the main points and decide if the content is worth their time. This aims to improve retention and coversions on posts.

I’ve seen some encouraging early results (like better engagement and longer time spent on pages), but I’d really love to get more feedback from real users to improve it further.

If you run a blog, create content, or manage a website with a blog section, I’d love for you to test it out. You’ll get early lifetime access to the app and in return, I’d just ask for your honest feedback on how it works for you.

No strings attached—I’m just looking for people who are curious about conversions and willing to share their thoughts.

If you’re interested, leave a comment or send me an email to [email protected], and I’ll share the app with you.

P.S: As a secondary objective, I'm interested in recommendations for news, blogging and even ecommerce sites who'd be interested in having AI-generated summaries that I can get in touch with.

Much appreciated!

I've been looking into how I might be able to give my blog posts that extra oomph to make them more useful. I'm definitely interested and I'll gladly try it out. I sent you a DM.

They'll sure give you an oomph. I think I got your email. Look forward to seeing the results.

Sounds linteresting. You mentioned early results showing better engagement, any specific numbers on how much it improved retention or conversions? Would love to hear more!

We've only tested in our site, but I can say that our bounce rate decreased 9% and time on page 14%.

We're in progress of testing on a larger news site where we're seeing a 3.5% increase in return visitors and surprisingly 10% more users are reaching 75% of the page, even though the review is at the top.

This sounds like a great tool for improving reader engagement and content retention! AI-generated summaries could be especially useful for blogs with long-form content, helping users quickly grasp key insights. I’d love to see how it performs in different niches.

Also, have you considered reaching out to media publications or tech blogs? They might benefit from AI summaries to boost reader retention. Looking forward to seeing how this evolves!

I work with lots of Media publications and already reached out to them. They are loving it so far.

As for long-form content, we haven't thought of that yet, especially as that content is carefully planned out in advance. As for blog/news outlets that post daily, those are usually churned out or need a solution that'll do that for past 10k+ posts. That's where we're finding our use case.

Do you have any sites off the top of your head that would be interested in using it?

"like better engagement and longer time spent on pages" this is something i believe everyone struggles with. definitely a great initiative.
