I built an app that shows which planes are leaving trails above you
Hey IH 👋
I'm Remy, solo founder from the Netherlands. I built ChemTracker — a PWA that tracks every aircraft overhead and predicts whether it's producing a visible contrail using atmospheric science.
The engine uses live ADS-B flight data + weather from 8 pressure levels + the Schmidt-Appleman criterion + Monte Carlo simulations. You can even point your phone at a trail and it identifies which plane left it.
Tech stack: Next.js, Supabase, Vercel, Stripe. Bootstrapped, launching next week with 5k waitlist.
Would love feedback from this community — what would you want to see in a product like this?
