# I built Animate My Pet — turning pet photos into AI animated videos 🐾

Hi Indie Hackers,

I’ve been working on Animate My Pet, a small AI project that turns static pet photos into animated videos.

The idea came from a simple observation: people love taking photos of their pets, but those memories usually stay frozen in a gallery. I wanted to create a way to bring those moments back to life.

With Animate My Pet, you can upload a dog or cat photo and create AI-powered animations — from cute movements and expressions to fun talking pet videos.

The current MVP focuses on:

* 🐶 Animate dog and cat photos

* 🎬 Create short AI pet videos

* ✨ Add personality and movement to old memories

* 📱 Make shareable pet content for social media

I’m especially interested in the emotional side of this product. Pets are family, and even a small animation can make a favorite photo feel much more meaningful.

Right now, I’m working on:

* Improving animation quality and realism

* Adding more pet-specific templates

* Understanding what types of pet videos people actually want to create
