I built apps for years and failed—Until I chased Atlantis

I’ve built a pile of apps over the years. None hit profitable monthly revenue. Zero. Nothing. I’d pour months into coding, debugging, and launching—only to feel crushed by negative feedback or total user silence.

I love building, but marketing? That’s where I’d hit a wall. It wasn’t even that I hated it; I was just too drained to care after the grind.

Then it clicked.

I was doing it backward.

I’d been chasing profit, not passion.

So I flipped the script and leaned into something I’ve geeked out on forever: Ancient history.

Specifically, Atlantis—the lost world those ancient Greeks couldn’t stop writing about.

I’ve been obsessed, and honestly, I feel like I’m close to rediscovering it (or at least my version of it).

Lesson learned: don’t force an app to be your passion—let your passion fuel the app. Hope yours finds you too.
