💰 I built GoldRateX — a fast, serverless gold price tracker using Cloudflare Workers

I wanted to share a side project I recently built: GoldRateX — a fast, lightweight web app that shows real-time gold prices globally.

⚙️ What it does

GoldRateX displays live gold prices in a clean and simple interface.
It updates instantly and works smoothly on both desktop and mobile.
You can view:

• Current gold rates (per gram, ounce, etc.)

• Localized prices

• A simple converter

I built it mainly for users who want speed and accuracy without clutter or ads.

💡 Why I built it

Most gold rate websites I tried were slow, outdated, or overloaded with unnecessary stuff.
So I wanted to create something minimal, modern, and serverless — hosted fully on Cloudflare Workers.

This setup keeps the site lightning-fast, even with live API data updates.

🔧 Tech stack

• Cloudflare Workers for serverless hosting

• Cloudflare D1 for structured data

• Custom API integration for live metal prices

• Plain HTML + JS + CSS for simplicity and speed

🚀 What’s next

I’m planning to add:

• Historical gold price charts

• Country-specific currency conversion

• API endpoints for developers
