Hey Indie Hackers π
I just launched Image Describer, a simple web tool that turns an image into usable text:
Alt text (accessibility-friendly)
Short captions (for creators/social posts)
Detailed descriptions (scene + objects + composition)
I kept needing fast, reliable image descriptions for accessibility and content workflows. Most tools I tried were either too generic, inconsistent in tone/detail, or didnβt give me the format I actually needed. So I built a focused workflow:
upload β choose output style β get clean results you can copy/use
Multiple output modes (alt text / caption / detailed)
Fast generation + readable formatting
Works for both simple and complex images
If you try it, could you tell me:
Accuracy β what did it miss that matters?
Preferred output β short vs long, literal vs expressive
Format β plain text vs structured sections vs JSON
UX β any confusing step in upload β results?
If you comment with feedback, Iβll iterate quickly and share updates here. Thanks π
Congrats on the launch, looks solid. How are you currently thinking about acquiring early users and gathering feedback?
