I built Magiclip because editing videos was draining my energy… now creators use it daily

Hey Indie Hackers đź‘‹

A few months ago, I was stuck in a loop:

Record → Edit → Subtitle → Cut → Resize → Clean audio → Export → Repeat.

I was spending more time editing than building, and honestly… it was killing my creativity.

So I decided to fix my own pain first.
I started building a tiny script to automate subtitles.
Then silence removal.
Then audio cleanup.
Then clipping long videos into short ones.

One little tool turned into another.
And at some point I realized:

👉 I’m basically building the editing assistant I always wanted.

That’s how Magiclip.io was born.

✨ What Magiclip does today

All the boring parts of editing in one place:

Auto subtitles (fast + accurate)

Remove silence

Enhance audio

Generate AI voice-overs

Extract viral clips from long videos

Resize for TikTok/Reels/Shorts

Upscale & clean images

Generate thumbnails

And I ship new tools every week

The goal is simple:

Upload → Magic → Download.
No timeline. No friction. No 10 different apps.

🙋‍♂️ Why I built it

I’m a solo builder.
I don’t have time to spend 4 hours editing one video.
And the tools out there feel either too slow, too bloated or too fragmented.

Magiclip is my attempt to make editing feel lightweight again.

đź’¬ What I need from IH

Your feedback shapes what I build next.

What’s the ONE editing task you wish was automated?
What slows you down the most right now?
What should I add for power users?

I reply to everyone.
