Hey,
I wanted to share my first attempt at building and shipping a SaaS project.
The problem
I kept hearing the same thing from friends: “I never know what to say on dating apps.” A lot of matches die because people freeze up or the conversation stalls.
The idea
What if AI could act like a digital wingman? Something that suggests smooth replies, flirty openers, and even helps optimize your profile.
The product
I built MakeYourMoves. It currently does:
Upload a chat screenshot → get multiple AI reply options in different styles (confident, cool, calm, collected).
Upload a profile → personalized openers.
Rate My Profile → AI feedback & improvement tips.
Daily Winning Line → one fresh opener every day.
The tech
OCR extracts text from chat screenshots.
GPT handles tone-specific reply generation.
Built as a small SaaS → lightweight stack, privacy-first (no data stored).
The journey
This is my first time building & shipping SaaS end-to-end. I learned a ton about product design, marketing, and how hard it is to keep things simple.
The ask
If you’ve built consumer SaaS before: what early marketing channels worked best?
If you’ve launched AI products: how did you handle differentiation when so many tools sound the same?
And for users: does this sound genuinely useful, or more like a novelty?
Excited to hear your feedback and learn from you all.
Cheers!!!
