Hey Indie Hackers
For the last year I’ve been building ProPass, a platform designed for real, verified professionals — not influencers — to earn directly from their audience.
Experts in fitness, tech, business, wellness, coaching, design, and other fields can finally have a real home to share their knowledge and work with clients in one place.
We’re in our closed beta (TestFlight) and aiming for a January App Store launch.

Why I Built It (The Part That Finally Pushed Me Over the Edge)
Everywhere I looked, the people who actually knew what they were talking about were getting drowned out by whoever was the loudest on TikTok or prettiest on Instagram.
Real professionals were losing out…
Meanwhile, unqualified “gurus” were printing money off quick takes, recycled content, and viral hacks.
And the people who genuinely needed help?
They ended up scrolling, guessing, or paying the wrong person.
There was no dedicated place where:
• qualified professionals could build a real business
• clients could trust who they were paying
• the value of expertise mattered more than algorithms
So instead of complaining about the ecosystem, I decided to fix it.
What ProPass Is:
ProPass isn’t a creator platform. It’s a professional platform.
Why the OnlyFans analogy?
Because OF nailed one thing: a direct-to-creator monetization engine that prints money. But it was never built for professionals. ProPass takes that model — subscriptions, DMs, direct access — and rebuilds it for experts instead of adult creators.
Think: a professional alternative to Instagram and TikTok — built for experts who actually help people, not influencers helping themselves.
On ProPass, expertise becomes a real business. Experts can earn through:
• Subscriptions
• 1:1 bookings
• Curated packages
• Direct messaging
• Tips
Everything — content, communication, scheduling, packages and payments — finally lives under one roof.
A real marketplace for real experts.
We’re already onboarding a diverse group of early experts, and the momentum is real.
Beta Progress (Where We’re At Today)
We’re currently:
• Onboarding our first wave of experts
• Running a closed TestFlight beta
• Polishing expert profiles & messaging
• Preparing for an early-January App Store submission
Still in motion, but stable enough for testers to jump in.
What I’d Love Feedback On:
• Does this feel like a platform the world should already have?
• Would you trust a marketplace like this more than social media?
• Should we stay broad, or niche for launch?
• What would make YOU subscribe to an expert you respect?
Brutal or honest feedback is welcome — I want to get this right.
Want Early Access?
I’m opening beta access to a small group of testers.
If you want the TestFlight link or a demo account, just comment or DM.
Tech Stack (for nerds):
• React Native (Expo)
• Flask + SQLAlchemy (Postgres on Render)
• Firebase Auth
• Firestore (chat) + RTDB (presence)
• Firebase Storage (media)
• Stripe Connect
• Cal.com API for scheduling
Happy to talk through anything technical.
Posting here feels surreal — I’ve read Indie Hackers for years but never shared something of my own.
Any advice, criticism, or encouragement means a lot.
P.S. We were featured on BetaList this week (www.betalist.com/startups/propass), which already brought in a wave of experts & testers. If you’d like early access or want to become an expert on the platform, I’d love to have you.
