I built PawForever — turning pet photos into animated memorial videos 🐾

Hi Indie Hackers,

I built PawForever after thinking about how much a single pet photo can mean.

For many pet parents, pets are not just animals — they are part of the family. But when they’re gone, we often only have photos left. Those photos hold years of memories, but they stay frozen in time.

PawForever turns a favorite pet photo into a gentle animated memory video. A small blink, a tail wag, a peaceful moment — simple movements that make a beloved companion feel close again.

The goal isn’t to create a fake replacement or something unrealistic. It’s about creating a meaningful keepsake that helps people celebrate the bond they had with their pets.

The MVP currently focuses on:

• 🐶 Animated dog memorial videos

• 🌈 Rainbow Bridge remembrance themes

• 💛 Gentle, emotional pet animations

• 📸 Turning old photos into shareable memories

I’m exploring:

• What moments pet owners would most like to bring back

• Which animation styles feel respectful and meaningful
