Hey IH π
I'm Shubh, a solo founder from New Zealand. I just launched QRdy β a tool that lets any service business give customers live job status updates via a QR code.
The problem: small businesses (barbershops, repair shops, mechanics, takeaways) spend a huge chunk of their day answering "is it ready yet?" calls and texts. It's annoying for them and the customer.
The solution: they stick a QR code at the counter. Customer scans it once and watches the status update live on their phone as the job progresses β received β in progress β ready. No app download, no customer signup. Operator just taps through steps on their phone.
Free plan is live at https://alwaysqready.app. Paid plans add a permanent reusable QR, dashboard, WhatsApp/email notifications, and custom branding.
Would love any feedback β especially from anyone who's worked with service businesses before.
Interesting idea.
The hard part here may not be whether QR updates work, but whether the business sees βstatus visibilityβ as a customer experience upgrade or just another internal workflow change.
That distinction usually decides adoption more than the feature itself.
