I built QuantConomy to stop people wasting hours reading financial news

Just launched my latest project and wanted to share it with the IH community. It's called QuantConomy and it solves a problem I see everywhere - people spending way too much time trying to figure out which financial headlines actually matter.
The Problem Everyone Has
Whether you're a trader, managing your own portfolio, or just trying to understand why your investments went up or down yesterday - you know this pain. You wake up, check the news, and there are literally hundreds of financial headlines. Which ones matter? Which ones are just noise?
Most people either:
Spend 1-2 hours every morning reading everything (exhausting)
Give up and miss important signals that could affect their money
Rely on someone else's summary and miss the details
It's 2025 and we're still doing this manually like it's 1995.
What I Built
QuantConomy processes thousands of news sources using AI and tells you what actually matters. Not just another news aggregator - it learns patterns between news events and market movements.

Current Status
I've got a working demo at quantconomy.com/demo that shows real-time news processing. It's pretty cool to watch - articles streaming in with AI categorization, sentiment analysis, and relevance scoring.
Currently collecting signups for early access. The plan is to launch with founding members who can help shape what this becomes.
What I'm Figuring Out
Honestly, still working through some big questions:
Pricing model - subscription vs pay-per-insight vs freemium?
Target audience - should I focus on professionals first or go broader?
Feature prioritization - alerts, dashboards, API access, mobile app?
The technical stuff is working well, but the product decisions are harder than the code.

Congrats, slick demo. To make it a must have, quantify matters with a relevance score tied to next day move and show simple backtests, add headline to asset attribution, and nail one persona with a five minute brief and rate limited alerts. Pricing per portfolio size plus an API tier could work. Can I import my watchlist, and what is median alert latency?
Thanks for this feedback. Good points on the relevance scoring and backtesting - I'm working on that. The watchlist import thing isn't built yet since I'm still figuring out what the finished product should be. Right now I can process and categorize articles in under 10 seconds. Few things I'm curious about - when you say focus on one persona, who are you thinking? Day traders? And what would actually make you read a 5-minute brief instead of just skipping it like most people do with newsletters?
A five minute brief wins because it turns endless scrolling into a fixed, decision ready habit. Make it watchlist only, three to five items max, each with headline, why it matters, expected impact and timeframe, plus a simple confidence. You cut an hour of noise, lower anxiety, and move faster, while rate limited alerts catch anything urgent between briefs.

Good point on the brief format. That structure you outlined (headline, why it matters, expected impact, timeframe, confidence) makes a lot of sense.
What's your setup like? Are you trading professionally or just managing your own stuff? And what's your current morning routine - do you have specific sources you check or are you bouncing between different apps?
The confidence scoring thing is interesting - most people seem pretty skeptical of AI predictions in finance, so curious what would actually make that useful vs just noise.
HustleAdvisor - could work. What's your audience size/demo looking like? Are these entrepreneurs who are actively trading/investing or more general business audience?
Appreciate the thoughtful questions. I am just managing my own stuff, nothing serious. Morning routine is simple. quick look at futures and the econ calendar, scan overnight headlines, check pre market moves on my watchlist, then let alerts do the rest so I do not scroll for an hour. I would trust confidence scores if they are calibrated by ticker and signal type with a tiny history chart, and if the system simply says pass when it is unsure.
On HustleAdvisor, the audience is early but focused, about 1,500 on the waitlist, mostly founders and operators. Entrepreneurs are careful with money and many of the people around me also care about markets and extra income, so I think you would find your users there.

That routine makes perfect sense - you're basically doing manually what I'm trying to automate. The futures/econ calendar + watchlist pre-market check is exactly the workflow I'm designing around.
Love the confidence scoring idea. Most AI tools try to have an opinion on everything. And the ticker/signal calibration with history makes total sense.
