After seeing many qualified candidates get rejected before recruiters even viewed their resumes, I built RedResumes.
RedResumes helps job seekers:
• Create ATS-friendly resumes
• Match resumes to job descriptions
• Improve interview chances
• Prepare for interviews with AI
I'm looking for feedback from founders, recruiters, and job seekers. What features would you like to see?
Interesting space.
One thing I'd be curious about is whether the bigger gap here is resume generation, or helping people understand why they’re getting filtered out in the first place.
Those can lead to very different product directions.
That's a great point. I initially focused on resume generation, but after talking with job seekers, I realized many don't understand why their resumes are being filtered out by ATS systems. That's why RedResumes is evolving beyond resume creation to include ATS analysis, job matching, and actionable feedback that helps users identify and fix the issues preventing them from getting interviews.
Possibly.
The reason I'd still be careful is that several directions can feel validated at the same time when users are describing the same underlying frustration.
That's one of those decisions that can quietly shape what the product eventually becomes.
I wouldn't try to unpack that properly in a thread, but if you're curious, feel free to drop your email and I'll send over the tighter version.
That's a good point. I'm still validating that assumption with users. So far, the strongest signal has been that people want more clarity on why they're being rejected, but I'm trying to let user feedback drive the direction rather than forcing a specific solution.
That's exactly the part I'd be careful with.
The challenge isn't necessarily the feedback itself.
It's the decision that ends up getting made because of it.
I wouldn't try to unpack that properly in a thread.
If you'd like the tighter version, just drop your email.
