Hey Indie Hackers! π
I'm a solo developer, and I just shipped SysPulse β a lightweight Windows security monitor that sends real-time Telegram alerts when something suspicious happens on your PC.
The problem I wanted to solve:
Traditional antivirus suites are bloated (200-600MB RAM) and often miss the subtle stuff: a new process appearing from a temp folder, a USB drive being plugged in, or a program sneaking into your Windows Startup.
What SysPulse does:
π₯οΈ Watches new processes (with full file paths)
π Detects USB connections in real-time
π Monitors Windows Startup changes
π Alerts on CPU/RAM/Disk spikes
π‘ Sends everything to your Telegram
The philosophy:
I wanted a "silent butler", not a "noisy guard". Something that sits quietly in the background, uses less than 30MB RAM, and only speaks when it matters.
Tech stack:
Python β compiled to a single .exe
Telegram Bot API for alerts
HWID-locked licensing (one license, one machine)
I've also been documenting the whole journey β the technical challenges, the false positives with antivirus software, and the process of building a product as a solo dev.
