I built the (by far) cheapest cloud provider for Kubernetes

Hey IH 🤠

Working on a side project I had to choose between hosting Kubernetes for >$300/mo on AWS or setting it up myself for $15/mo on rented hardware -- not surprisingly I opted for the latter.

I realized the market needed a low-cost, no-ops alternative and after spending many thousands of hours the result is: symbiosis.host, with nodes at 1/3rd of Digital Ocean or 1/6th of AWS.

It supports volumes, load balancers, isolated networking (VPCs), includes a terraform provider, and many more goodies (feel free to check out the site!).

How do I turn a profit? Margins are tight, but it’s built for stability and built to scale. 🚀

I'd love to get your feedback or answer any questions. 😇

P.s. For those who are unfamiliar with Kubernetes: it’s a container orchestration platform for managing the configuration, networking, scaling, deployment (and more) of containers.
