I built two AI products. One got 200+ free users and zero paid conversions.

I’ve been building AI products and recently launched two products.

The first one is an AI IELTS speaking practice product. It has already attracted more than 200 registered free users, but so far I haven’t converted any of them into paying customers.

That made me rethink what actually creates willingness to pay.

So I built a second product: ACE.

ACE is an AI interviewer. Instead of giving generic interview questions, you paste the actual job description, go through a voice-based interview, get adaptive follow-up questions based on your answers, and receive a scored interview report at the end.

My hypothesis is that job interviews have much stronger urgency than general English practice.

Right now I’m trying to validate three things:

Will users complete the full interview?
Will the report make them want to practice again?
Will anyone actually pay?

I’d be very interested to hear how other founders would validate willingness to pay at this stage.

200+ free users and 0 paid conversions is the useful baseline. Does ACE users’ interview urgency actually translate into payment, or are they completing the simulation and still treating AI interview practice as a free utility?
