I built Uptime Chef because no monitoring tool covered the MENA region

The Problem That Drove Me Crazy

I run several SaaS products with users across the globe, including a significant user base in the Middle East and North Africa. Every time I set up monitoring with popular tools (you know the ones), I noticed something frustrating: zero monitoring locations in the MENA region.

  My users in Riyadh, Cairo, and Dubai would report downtime or slow response times, but my monitoring dashboard showed everything was green. The disconnect was maddening.

  I started asking: why do all these monitoring tools have 15 locations in Europe and North America but completely ignore a region with hundreds of millions of internet users?

  So I built what I needed.
