I built Vectyr to stop engineering managers from drowning in Jira and GitHub

The Problem I Couldn't Ignore

As an engineering leader, I spent years watching the same pattern: managers buried in Jira, GitHub, and Slack trying to piece together what was actually happening with their teams. Not because they wanted to micromanage but because they needed visibility to unblock people or adjust stakeholder expectations.

I was easily losing 5+ hours every week to this detective work. And I'd still find out about blockers 2-3 days too late because the signals were scattered across tools.

After talking to dozens of other EMs, they all had the same story. The tools we use are great at what they do individually - but it is hard to connects the dots.

What We Built

Vectyr is workflow intelligence for engineering teams. It pulls from Jira, GitHub, and Slack to automatically surface risks and blockers before they derail your sprint.

Instead of hunting through dashboards, you get a clear picture of:

• Which issues have been stuck and why

• PRs that are stalled in review

• Patterns that predict delays

• Team members that are overloaded

• Real time alerts when new risks are detected

The goal isn't another dashboard. It's giving you back the hours you lose to tool-diving so you can actually lead - unblock your team, mentor, or <gasp> to think strategically.

We're not claiming to replace your existing tools. We're the connective tissue between them.

What We Learned Building This

1. Engineering managers aren't looking for more data - they're drowning in it. They need the signal, not more noise.

2. The real cost isn't time in tools - it's the delayed decisions and missed blockers

3. Most "solutions" add another dashboard - we needed to reduce surface area, not add to it
