I built YouClip.fun โ€” turning YouTube into a study tool (would love your feedback ๐Ÿ™)

Hey IndieHackers ๐Ÿ‘‹

Iโ€™ve been working on YouClip.fun, a side project that solves a frustration Iโ€™ve had for years: spending hours on YouTube lectures, tutorials, and podcastsโ€ฆ but not actually remembering much.

So I built a tool to turn YouTube into an AI-powered study companion:

  • ๐Ÿ“„ Instant transcripts

  • ๐Ÿ“ AI summaries

  • ๐Ÿค– Ask the video questions directly with AI chat

  • โœ‚๏ธ CourseSlicer โ†’ breaks long videos into 15-min summary chunks

  • ๐Ÿ—’๏ธ Smart Notes (you write notes, AI helps correct/enhance them)

  • ๐ŸŽด Flashcards to quiz yourself and retain knowledge

โšก Note: Itโ€™s currently accessible only on desktop browsers and tablets (not mobile) since itโ€™s designed for serious learners who want fewer distractions.

Itโ€™s free to try (usage-based), and weโ€™re even giving one random subscriber lifetime access ๐ŸŽ‰

๐Ÿ‘‰ What Iโ€™d love to know from this community:

  1. Would this actually help you learn faster?

  2. What features would make you come back daily?

  3. Do you see this fitting into your workflow as a student, professional, or self-learner?

Iโ€™d appreciate any thoughts, brutal feedback, or feature requests ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿ‘‰ YouClip.fun
