Got charged $100 from services I forgot about. Finding the cancellation pages took longer than the actual cancelling — companies bury them on purpose. So I started collecting them manually. 1,000+ verified cancellation URLs now across SaaS, streaming and apps, wrapped into a free searchable page at subscriptioncat.space/search and an iOS app called SubscriptionCat that tracks subscriptions and reminds you before renewals. Botched the App Store metadata on launch, fixed it in 1.0.1, learned more about ASO than I wanted to. Still early, still adding URLs every day. Public API coming soon.

collecting 1000+ cancellation URLs is the kind of unglamorous grunt work that creates a real moat. anyone can build an app. nobody wants to manually find and verify a thousand cancel links. thats your defensibility right there. we did something similar with our web analysis tools — the value isnt in the code (which is pretty straightforward), its in the coverage and accuracy of the data behind it. SEO rules change, meta tag best practices evolve, speed benchmarks shift. maintaining that dataset is the actual product, not the tool that reads it. how are you keeping the URLs current? services change their cancel flows constantly.
