About 20 days ago I decided to embark on a 30-day challenge to build a profitable business.
Before you read on, know that with a waiting list of 60 people I earned $14
And with my challenge 50$.
I started on Twitter thanks to the build in public, but for 6 months I was focused on one of the side businesses that allowed me to earn money (as a freelancer) and to build a community on Twitter and Instagram of more than 20K followers.
I love this side business but what I love most is building products.
And yes, because at the beginning of my Twitter adventure I built product info and managed to earn 2500 dollars while I had no audience.
And a year later, I wanted to show the world that it was possible.
That's why I started a new build-in public challenge.
Thanks to this challenge I was able to:
Thanks to the exchanges I had with makers.
I just made a mistake at the beginning
Here is the tweet that announced this challenge.
You can see that there were more than 2000 comments.
That's as many people who wanted to access it.
And here I made a mistake because I didn't think it would go viral.
I sent my Notion directly without going through an email capture page...
Then I made up for it.
So maybe I wouldn't have collected 2000 emails, that's true.
The advantage is that I qualified 2000 people on Twitter and I can send them DMs related to this challenge.
So now that my challenge is over because I won $14
I will launch the V1 of the product I built in public with pre-sales.
If you're interested in joining the waiting list, I will put the link here.
The product is simple, it's a Notion with the processes, resources, and steps I use to build my profitable side projects.
See you soon here or on Twitter or in real life.
Cheers Indie Hacker
