Two years ago I was traveling alone in a city where I didn't know anyone and couldn't speak the language.
Every "solution" was useless. Dictionary apps, tourist guides, language platforms — none of them gave me what I actually needed.
A real person. Someone local. That person existed in that city. I just had no way to find them.
So I've been building Socieful for 14 months — a place where travelers meet locals, language learners connect with real people, and strangers in the same city can actually find each other.
I'm a solo developer from Turkey. Beta launches in April.
Server costs are $95/month — enough to slow this down if I'm not careful. I opened a Patreon to cover the first 3 months and get it live.
If you've ever felt alone in a foreign city — you already get it.

Happy to answer anything — especially from people who travel solo or learn languages. What would you expect from something like this?
