I created an automation tool for personal use, then launched it for public. It crossed 500 users in just 15 days :)

I love automating my work. I can't wait to share a story of how a tool I made for my personal use now has 500+ users.

Here it goes:

I was sending messages to about 30-40 people on WhatsApp and I needed to send them personalised messages. So, I created a Chrome Extension that would allow me to send personalised messages to numbers using WhatsApp Web. I shared it with a few friends and they loved the tool. I thought it would be nice to launch it to the Chrome Web Store. I polished the UI a bit and then launched to the Chrome Web Store.

15 days later, without any marketing or outreach, the tool now has 548 users.
