I created Perdiem in 10 mins and I want to promote your website for free

It's 3.15am in Ireland and I went to bed 3 hours ago.

I should be drifting off to the relaxing sound of Alexa playing the sound of a babbling brook 😴. Instead, I'm up, drinking tea and registering domain names for websites that I will cringe to think of when the renewal email hits my inbox 48 weeks from now. 🙈

I am an experienced software engineer and like most, I can build anything imaginable. This puts me in the awkward position of trying to explain why I just pushed 14-lines of HTML to Github, and why I'm now writing about it.

Alright you're tired, what are you talking about?

Perdiem.site will show a different website every day. Today (day 0), it's IndieHackers.com 😃 - (this is why I need your help) but tomorrow - I don't yet have a website to show! I need lots of websites to fill the calendar!

You'll promote my site for free?

Sure, I have zero traffic of my own right now, but this is an experiment (did I mention I am sleep deprived?)

I just have to comment my URL and say hello?

Like the site says, if you include a cute dog gif you will be prioritised

Why did you do this?

What a good looking question.

Did you know X website did this Y months ago and got Z results?

I didn't know that! I just did this for fun, and to help me sleep. 😃

Time to build: 10 mins
Time to host: 30 mins
Time to get DNS pointed: 4-6 months apparently

The slowest part of the project was actually getting DNS nameservers updated in GoDaddy to point to Route53.

Very fun idea. but i don't see myself going everyday to your website to check out the new link. would be interesting if you make a chrome extension that use the "new tab" to show a new website everyday

    nice, well done! just tried it out and I have 3 things:
    
    the header is a bit big and still saying "add to chrome" even i'm using the extension (I assume you are just using iFrame from your website)
    
    I don't like the newsletter subscription popup (you could add that to the header in a static way)
    
    I like next/previous day
