I declined a $20k offer to purchase my project Job Board Search 🔎

How and why is as follows:

Thanks to advice from Pieter Levels @levelsio, 5 months ago, I included paid options. It's a board of job boards or a job board aggregator that helps job seekers.

A few retweets from Pieter helped the product get a lot of attention. It later went viral on a Reddit post and was featured on the front page of Indie Hackers.

Since day one there was immediate demand, and the sponsored slots (one payout) and listing upgrades (monthly subscriptions) were sold right away. By today, the total revenue had surpassed $5,000 which means $1k monthly revenue.

I wasn’t planning any of this but last week, a buyer who contacted me via Twitter DM made me an offer to purchase 100% of JobBoardSearch.com for $10–20,000.

I declined it!

Why?

I barely promoted the website besides building it in public on Twitter but still been making money since day one, I think the potential is really promising and is worth much more than $20k (even the domain on its own).
I still do a lot of freelance work and have a contract with a British company, plus have other stream incomes, so I don't really need the money right now.
The traffic is growing, and big accounts are mentioning it as a good resource to find jobs (All-time pageviews 172k and unique 63k, ahref reports 510 backlinks from 141 domains, 242 organic keywords, and an URL rating of 33)
I love the project and have a lot of ideas for Job Board Search 🔎. I want to do so many different things to help job seekers.
I think is too soon to sell and I am enjoying the journey so much!

Is it the best choice? Time will tell but I would love to hear your opinions as this is the first time this happens to me and I have no idea if it is really worth more or not. Here on Indie Hackers, there are founders with a lot of experience, so my questions are:

Am I wrong in thinking that $20k is not enough?
Am I missing an opportunity?
Does it has the potential I think?
