I developed a Chrome extension for myself to make social media less addictive

The extension is called Saner Social Media; it replaces addictive and annoying features of various social media sites with inspirational quotes.

I created it for myself as an alternative to News Feed Eradicator because I felt like it is not actively maintained anymore.

It's available in the Chrome Web Store and on GitHub.
