I Didn’t Release My First App for 6 Months Here’s What Changed

I started building my first app back in 2025.
It came from a random idea that felt genuinely useful to me.

I didn’t validate it. Maybe I thought validation didn’t matter or maybe I was just afraid of people’s opinions. So I built it anyway.

Every time I finished a build and asked my friends to test it, I felt the urge to add more.
One more feature.
A UI change.
A pivot.
Something “better.”

Six months in, the app still wasn’t released.

The reason wasn’t lack of motivation it was fear.
Fear of failure stopped me. My heart wouldn’t let me quit the app, but it also wouldn’t let me release it.

Eventually, I gave up on the idea of shipping it and moved on to something else.

This time, I did things differently.

I did proper market research and built a new app in one week.
No fancy features. No overengineering. Just a simple meditation app.

I wrote meditation scripts based on my research, created guided sessions, and actually released it on the Play Store.

This time, I’m okay with failing.
If no one likes it, that’s fine.
The product is out and that alone feels like a win.

If anyone wants to try it, I’d love to give early access (currently available only on the Play Store).
