I don't get all the hype about creating apps for the app stores.

They charge so much of your revenue. I think Apple charges 30%. Then there are taxes and other expenses. The web browser works just fine for me, so I'm just publishing web apps that can be used by any device, require no downloads, and are easier to maintain. I'm just a little sad to miss out on the benfit to visibility when being listed in the app stores.
