I don't really feel like I have a homeland. But it's made me stronger...

"I'm what you would call a 'third culture kid.' I was born in America, but my parents are Greeks. At three years old I moved to Greece. Then I came back to America as a 5-year-old, not knowing any English. At 15, after I had forgotten all of my Greek, we went back to Greece because my dad's life-long dream was to bring his boys back to the motherland. It was right as I was going into high schooI and I was like, 'Oh, fuck. You're taking us away at the worst time ever.' It's been really tough for me because I don't have that connection — I feel like I don't really belong fully. If I'm in the states, I'm a Greek guy who's lived in Greece all his life. If I'm over here, I'm the American kid who speaks Greek with a funny accent. I sort of have identity issues. I just don't really feel like I have a homeland. But it's made me stronger and much more capable of adapting to weird situations too. I can chat with anybody now and I've become a really good judge of character, which are essential elements of my business."⠀
