I finally tamed GPU optimization for my local AI image generator, Pixel Spark.

Hey Indie Hackers,

A huge milestone for the second app in my PLYIA suite ! Pixel Spark, my local AI image generator, is now running smoothly.

After building my first text-based app (Pulse Editor), I thought image generation would be a small step. I was wrong. The real challenge was GPU utilization and optimization. Making a tool that can reliably run powerful models like Lumina Image 2.0 on different Windows/Linux setups without crashing was a massive learning curve.

I chose Lumina 2.0 as the recommended model because it's a relatively lightweight checkpoint that produces incredibly detailed and prompt-accurate results.

After weeks of tweaking and testing, getting those generation times down and ensuring stability feels like a huge win. It's a big step towards making high-performance local AI truly accessible.
