I fixed Notion's biggest missing feature: Row-Level Security for Client Portals

Hey Indie Hackers,

I’ve been running my agency on Notion for years, but the "sharing" part always felt broken.

Every time I wanted to give a client access to their project status or deliverables, I had two bad options:

1. Add them as a "Guest": This usually gave them too much access (risking them seeing other clients' data) or forced them to create a Notion account they didn't want.

2. Manually Duplicate Pages: I was spending hours creating individual "Dashboard" pages for every client and manually syncing filtered database views. It was unscalable busywork.

I kept waiting for Notion to add Row-Level Security (the ability to say "User X only sees rows where Client = User X"), but it never came.

So I built it myself.

What is Notion Portals?
It’s a wrapper that turns any Notion database into a secure, white-label client portal.

• The Mechanism: You connect your master database and select a "Security Column" (like Email).

• The Result: When a client logs in (magic link, no password), they only see the rows assigned to them.

• The Workflow: You keep working in your master database. They see updates instantly in their portal.

I launched the MVP this week. It’s solving the problem for me, but I’m looking for feedback from other Notion power users.
