It's fine I suppose but there's a real problem with information density. Currently on a regular 16:9 monitor I only see 3 stories whereas on HN I can see something like 30 stories. This is one of the biggest advantages to the HN style layout, you can quickly scan to see what you're interested in.
I use an extension call Hacker News Enhancement Suite that tidies up the CSS a little bit but doesn't nearly truncate stories as much as your site does.

I made this website using Next.js, Tailwind CSS/UI and React Query. The code is open source and link to it is in the article itself.
I like the SPA approach to HN, great work! :)
I'm sensitive to small tap target on mobile view. Especially the comment button, you can accidentally pressing the URL instead of the link.
Maybe you can add some margin-top (1rem) for comment button and like button. Also a bit bigger button with w-6 and h-6.

Yes, thanks for sharing. I did not think this. Yes, it is very much possible to click on the link accidentally instead of the comments. Will fix this. Thanks for the feedback.

why is everything labeled Show HN?
By default, i am sorting the stories by number of points. So, I guess SHOW HN posts have more points than ASK HN, if you click on
Load Morebutton at the bottom, you would eventually find Ask HN stories too. Or click on Ask HN in the navigation menu.
