Hey Hackers,
Let's be real. It's December 2025, and trying to rank an AI SaaS for high-volume keywords like "AI Video Generator" or "Text to Video" is a nightmare. The CPC is insane, and the SERP is dominated by the unicorns.
As a solo dev building Textideo, I realized I couldn't out-spend them. But I could out-build them.
I decided to pivot my growth strategy to "Engineering as Marketing."
Instead of fighting for the main keyword, I built specific, free(ish) tools targeting long-tail intent to act as lead magnets.
I wanted to share these 4 side-doors I built to funnel traffic to my main product, and I'd love your feedback on the UX/Flow.
๐ AI Human Generator
Logic: People searching for this aren't necessarily looking for a video editor yet โ they just want a face for their faceless channel. I capture them here, then upsell the full video suite.
๐ AI Wallpaper Generator
Logic: This keyword has massive volume. The conversion rate to a paid SaaS user is lower, but it builds domain authority and pumps top-of-funnel traffic.
๐ AI Logo Generator
Logic: Who needs video marketing? New businesses. What else do new businesses need? Logos. By catching them at the logo-creation stage, I can introduce video marketing early in their journey.
๐ 3D Text Generator
Logic: A specific tool for a specific pain point. Lower volume, but high intent.
Since launching these sub-pages, my CAC has dropped significantly.
Turns out, giving away value upfront through niche tools is way cheaper than Google Ads.
For anyone who has tried Programmatic SEO or Tool-based Marketing:
Do you force a sign-up immediately to use the tools, or let users generate a few free results first?
I'm currently A/B testing both flows.
Roast my setup! ๐ป
