I got #1 Product of the Month on Product Hunt - AMA!
Hey everyone!
I'm Michelle, a co-founder at Typedream. I am new to IndieHackers and I've been sharing my journey, learnings, successes, and failures building Typedream on Twitter via #buildinpublic.
Our team started writing our first line of code in Jan 2021, opened our MVP to 100+ private beta testers in Mar 2021, and launched our product on Product Hunt in Jul 2021. We then got #1 Product of the Month!

We believe the key to our Product Hunt launch success is Building in Public. This is because our launch wouldn't be as successful without the community who helped us not only perfect our product and launch materials, but also hype up our launch.
Through Building in Public, we built a community of people who LOVED our product by involving people in our decisions (like what feature we're going to build next), asking them to beta test our product, listening to their feedback, and iterating our product based on their feedback.
